{2} Ordinary Chores were to be accomplished...some Dusting, some Sweeping, some Washing, some Decluttering, some papers were Copied & Delivered...etc!
{3} Decorative touches added: Knobs to the newly made Hall Tree; Signs hung; Pictures rearranged; Antique Mirror Collection added to Hallway wall.
{4} Good food was eaten: Potato Gnocchi; Homemade Sub Sandwiches; 1 Dairy Queen run for the kids; fresh Green Grapes; Percolated Coffee, etc!
{5} Started project "Wired for Sound" for our Master Bedroom- ask Steve, this is his baby!
{6} Got Child #1 of 4's computer all reset so he can now play W.O.W. again...he was grounded from W.O.W. for 9 months until this past Thursday!
{7} Taught Child #2 of 4 (and misc. friends in attendance) a lesson in making up "new words" and "rhyming"- one they are NOT likely to forget!
{8} Took 5 Teenage boys to local Mexican Restaurant for dinner! DIOS MIO! Can those boys eat!!!!
{9} Watched a little of each of the following: "Happy Feet"; "NCIS"; "Signing Time"; "Charlie and Lola"
{10} Hit a few garage Sales on Saturday; Bought a few things: Vintage Handkerchiefs, Vintage Ladies Slips; Music Cd's GALORE for Steve and Children #2 & #3 of 4; Two Platters from a "Grandma's Attic" style Yard Sale; a couple of FREE items for Lil' O- as lots of folks seem to want to GIVE him things when they see him come walking up their driveway; 2 old 16" Softballs- for our "Old Fitness Items" theme in our Health & Fitness Room; a Fall theme Vintage Tablecloth- think Harvest Pumpkins, orange/yellow/tan/brown
{11} Child #1 & #2 of 4 made a HUGE DENT in their "Summer Reading" tonight....after they cleaned their bedroom & did some laundry- THANK THE LORD! You'd have thought something DIED in
there!
{12} Child #3 of 4 spent Saturday with a Friend doing all manner of Girlie Girl Stuff! YAY!Then she went to the movies today-with same friend- to see "GI JOE"- Go Figure!
{13} Took apart Lil' O's "Library" and replaced it with: a Trunk full of Puppets & Books; an Art Easel; Table and Chair Set; Dry Erase Board; Puppet Stand- Child #4 of 4 couldn't sleep when he saw what we were doing to "his stuff"! No Nap Today, but TONS of play, play, play!
That's all I will bore you folks with for now. All in all, it was a good, productive, eventful weekend! Everyone is exhausted by now, or they darn well SHOULD BE!
Middle School Registration, High School Book Buy, Freshman Orientation & BBQ, and School Portraits are this coming Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday! I'm just hoping I have SOME sanity & SOME money left come Friday!
