It's time to add a little more to the story...to the saga of our house remodeling project as well as to what is going on in INSIDE our house and family these days!
As you can see, I have started with posting the children's most current photos on the left sidebar. They have all grown and changed so much in the past year. The world just seems to be spinning so much faster these days making all four of my babies grow up faster than I am prepared for.
Ian is in 8th grade and preparing for high school at Glenbard East. He says he has decided to become a Dentist and wants to select the appropriate amount of classes for Science, Math, Foreign Language, etc. to prepare for College and then Dental School. WOW!
Evan is a 7th grader and still very clever, charming, and witty. He just enjoys life and enjoys being 12 years old! Although we have always thought Evan would be an excellent author/writer someday, he has yet to profess a preference for any particular profession for adulthood.
Ilse, the Princess, is enjoying her 5th grade and final year of Elementary School. She is the most social of our children and often has to be reigned in. She has her first male school teacher this year and that is proving interesting. Ilse also has a fine boyfriend, Zachary. Actually, Ilse and Zachary have loved one another since the 1st grade. His parents are aware of this, as are we...and everyone approves of the coupling. Notes are typed, printed and hand delivered back and forth almost on a daily basis and it is simply the sweetest thing to watch!
Oliver is loving his first year of Preschool in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program here in town. He is getting to be more and more aware of social interaction with his peers and is just absorbing information and Sign Language like a sponge. Speech & Hearing , Feeding Issues, and Health Issues are all ongoing struggles for Oliver, but he has always been able to step up to the challenge. We expect the best from him and he always delivers, in his own time.
So, there's the basic kid stuff scoop. Visit here often for "The Blonde View" ... for exciting news related to everything INSIDE the house! I hope to post about our Interior Remodeling/Addition choices (products, colors, asthetics, etc), Information on our Family Life, My Opinions and Viewpoint on the construction taking place in our backyard, and the General Goings On for our family living happily together at 225 E. Goebel Drive.
